Flat Roofs
What is Elastomeric Membrane?
Also known as torch-on roofing, asphalt roll roofing, or modified bitumen roof, this system is one of the sturdiest roofing systems that can be installed on a flat roof. The elastomeric membrane consists of a two-ply application:
The underlayment roll of modified bitumen
The finishing cap roll of modified bitumen with a mineral surface
The plies of rolled sheets are bonded or fused together by torching the underlayment with the finishing cap to create a water-tight seal
